FFS NARVAL (1926 - 1940)
Free French submarine NARVAL hit a mine and sank in the Mediterranean Sea 40 miles Northeast of Sfax, Tunisia, killing the entire crew of 54, thirteen of whom were Free French personnel who had enlisted to serve in the Royal Navy.
